[ARCHIVED] Absentee Voting and Voter Registration Updates

The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals has issued its ruling, requiring several changes to election laws and procedures.

  • In-Person Absentee voting for the August 11th Partisan Primary must cease until Tuesday, July 28th.
  • The voter registration residency requirement is now 28 days.
  • Clerks may no longer fax or email absentee ballots to regular absentee voters. Only military and overseas (permanent and temporary) voters may still receive ballots by fax or email.
