Dog License

Welcome to the City of Delafield Dog License application page.

Section 6-4 of the municipal code states in part - Every owner of a dog more than 5 months of age on January 1 of any year, or 5 months of age within the license year, shall annually, or within 30 days from the date such dog becomes 5 months of age, at the time and in the manner provided by law for the payment of personal property taxes, pay to the Clerk, his dog license tax and obtain a license therefore. Prior to the issuance of the license the owner shall present evidence that the dog is currently immunized against rabies. A dog is considered to be unlicensed if a valid license tag is not attached to a collar which is kept on the animal.

The fee for dog licenses are as follows:

Not Neutered or Spayed: $17.00 each dog
Neutered or Spayed: $14.00 each dog

Max 3 dogs per household unless special exceptions apply.

Payment

Checks may be made out to the City of Delafield with the memo "Dog License" or cash. Any checks mailed or placed in the drop box will result in the dog tag being mailed to the address on the application.

1.) With a credit card using the link provided in the automatic confirmation at the end of the submission. 

2.) A check may be mailed to the City of Delafield 500 Genesee St. Delafield, WI 53018.

3.) A check may be dropped off in the drop box next to the library book return drop box.

4.) Check or cash is accepted at the City Hall between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.
