Waste Management
Waste Collection & Recycling Guidelines
The City of Delafield contracts with Waste Management for the collection of residential garbage and recyclable materials. The program, developed in cooperation with Waukesha County and other municipalities in the county, provides for an expanded list of recyclable materials and streamlines the process of handling and collecting refuse and recycling. The cost for this service is included in your property taxes.

Both refuse and recycling is collected from all households Monday through Thursday, depending on where you live.
Please refer to the Waukesha County Recycling Guide for the current listing of recyclable materials.
Missed Pick Up? Or Other Concern?
Create a ticket with Waste Management directly. You will be placed in their queue and your item will be addressed as soon as they are able.
Summer Lake Weed Pier Pick-Up Schedule
- Main Lake - Every Monday & Friday
- Unless there is a holiday - then no pickup.
- Channels - 1st & 3rd Fridays of every month
- If the Monday or Friday fall on a holiday, please have your items ready for pickup the Monday or Friday before the holiday.
Grass Clippings / Leaves / Composting
You are encouraged to compost certain materials if possible. Yard waste collection is available to residents by GFL.
